To sensitize students about women safety, Anti Corruption Committee of India organized a workshop of Women safety Awareness at Dr. AH Rizvi Degree College, Karari (Kaushambhi) on Wednesday.

In the workshop, DIG Prayagraj Mr KP Singh was present as the chief guest, who stressed on empowering the girls for self-defense. While giving information about the safety provisions and arrangements made by the State Government, he said, girls should handle the eve-teasing strongly and teach such miscreants a lesson.
DIG said the crime and harassment against women are increasing rapidly across the country; cases related to harassment and sexual abuse is reported the most. Keeping this in mind, women and female students should remain vigil.
While talking about the safety tips, he said, if any woman gets caught in any situation they should first shout and try to get help from nearby. For self-defense, if they have any object in hand, they should attack with it. Before sitting in an auto or taxi, they should take pictures of the number plate or note down the number and send it to the family members.
DIG also said that one should not talk to the strangers on facebook or Whatsapp as many at time miscreants misuse social media by creating fake IDs.
SP Mr. Pradeep Gupta said State Government is running various women empowerment programs in the state. Later, he gave details about Women Safety Helpline 1090, and Dail 100.
